Electricity plays a vital role in our Standards, classified as "Electric" based on the following criteria:
- Explicit mention of "Electric" as the service type on the bill, indicating charges for electricity consumption.
- Direct association of charge names on the bill with electricity services.
- Identification of electricity-related charge group headings on the bill.
- Presence of electric energy units (e.g., kWh or kW) on the bill without specific lighting-related keywords, suggesting general electric energy consumption.
To accurately establish a lighting service based on provided specifications, the following criteria must be met:
- Detailed information about the lighting meter should be explicitly provided on the invoice.
The applicable rate or tariff should be used to determine the lighting service. - Even if electric service contains relevant lighting keywords, a separate lighting meter should be created to account for lighting-related charges specifically.
- Charges should include keywords associated with specific types of bulbs, such as %watt, %HPS, %sodium, %metal-halide, %sentinel, etc.
- Charges under the electric service should incorporate keywords related to poles. However, these charges can be excluded if they are part of categories like "cable" or "power supply," which may also reference poles.
